Beach Chairs and Toys: Located under the house in the locked shed. The
key is above the phone and labeled "SHED" (imagine that!). If you find a
chair that is broken, throw it in the trash or leave it behind the shed so
I can throw it out next time I'm down there.
DVDs, Videos, CDs and games: I have several DVDs, Videos, CDs and games
for your playing/listening pleasure! The DVDs and Videos are under the
TV - please move them during your stay if your kids are too curious for
that to be a good idea! If you use the games, please put all the parts
back in the box after use. Take care of them and I'll keep adding to the
collection!
Gas Grill: We have a new Weber Gas Grill - treat it kindly
and clean it well after you grill. If you have to get a new filled propane tank, we'll be
happy to reimburse you for the cost.
Phone: Beach House phone number is 252 261-5983. Please use for local
calling only and use your cell or calling card for long distance. If you use the master
bedroom jack for your computer, please remember to plug the phone back in when you
leave.
Cleaning Supplies: A new bagless vacuum cleaner and assorted cleaning
instruments can be found in the hall bathroom linen closet. Also many
cleaning products are under the sinks in all bathrooms and the kitchen.
Please follow the cleaning check-list in the Welcome Book and leave it
cleaner than you found it! There are maid services down there - if you
use them, please supervise!
Trash: Trash Days are Monday and Thursday morning (no more Saturday pickups).
Take the can out the night before as the pick up tends to be around 6am or
so! They use automatic can pick-up devices so the can must be facing the
street and close to the street. No loose trash bags will be picked up -
make sure all trash fits in the trash can. After trash pickup, please
move the can back under the front steps. You may want to plan your crab
feasts the night before trash days for optimal air quality! ;-)
Linens: Don't forget to bring your own linens - towels and sheets.
The bed sizes are: 2 Queens, and 4 twins. If you would like me to supply your
linens for the week, you can add $50 to your rental fee and I'll be happy to supply them!
Let me know in advance!
Reminder - no pets!: We have some allergic guests, and the beach
patrol doesn't allow pets on the beach from May-October and sand-fleas are
abundant!
BONUS: If a Hurricane is named after a primary renter during the season,
you will get a $50 gift certificate at a restaurant of your choice for the
following year!
